Claddach Farm

Thoughtfully Raised, Rotationally Grazed

Claddach Farms believes that animals need to be raised in a natural and as healthy a setting as possible.  A philosophy of managed rotational grazing is implemented on the farm for all the animals. The reasons for this, by alloting a grazing pasture for a short duration it allows for an increased utilisation of feed and better dispersion of manure. Also by constantly moving around pasture, it gives the opportunity for the plants and soil to replenish any lost minerals by fertilising and a chance for the grass to regrow.

They have various friendly tups, learn about different breeds. Feel the fleece qualities and characteristics as you get hands-on while feeding them. Hand feed carrots to top pedigree alpacas and guanacos. Along with their Shetland Cattle and calves, as well as their pedigree Boer goats.

Watch sheepdog demonstration. Hold and feed lambs. Don’t forget to stop off at the retail outlet and purchase quality wool as well as other Claddach Farm products.

Please note: This is a working farm and visitors should wear appropriate clothing and footwear. If necessary, they can provide shoe covers and ponchos. Also, they are not wheelchair accessible.
