Once that’s done you’ll be able to experience the KnittingTours website perfectly.
Knockando Woolmill is located in the Spey Valley and it has occupied the same site for over 230 years. They use fresh, contemporary designs which are woven alongside traditional tweeds and classic woollen blankets. Everything is produced with the same attention to detail and skilled craftsmanship that has been at the heart of the Woolmill since it begun.
The Woolmill has been very much a family thing with it being passed down through generations of families who worked the land as well as carding, spinning and weaving with the local wool. Since 1784 it as been listed as a “Wauk Mill” in parish records, the Woolmill still combines machinery dating from 1870 as well as modern more efficient machinery. The Woolmill is an example of a traditional district mill and has worked with local farmers and one of the few surviving presently. At Knockandoo Woolmill they are continuously striving to develop new products as well revitalising old ones – while producing natural knitting yarns and bespoke tartans and tweeds.
