We are excited to be attending Woollinn Ireland’s Festival of Yarn in 2019 between the 14th – 16th June. This is the second year of the show and we are delighted to continue as a lead sponsor of the Woollinn Yarn Festival. It is organised and planned by This is Knit, a family – run yarn shop in Dublin City located in Powercourt Townhouse Centre.
Woollinn Ireland’s Festival of Yarn is all about showcasing the special place yarn has in Ireland’s heritage and culture. There will be workshops from leading Irish knitwear designers such as Carol Feller and Edel MacBride. Carol’s workshop will be on “Finishing Techniques” and Edel’s will take you through her “Speed Knitting & Speedier Cables” knitting ways. There will also be well known international knitwear designers such as Laura Nelkin with her workshop on “Knitting Novus Sweater”. Also, knitting workshops on the “Nordic Traditions” by Karie Westermann, Felicity Ford on the “Colours of Flowers” among lots others. In conjunction with the festival, we are delighted to offer a 9 Night Woollinn Adventure Knitting Tours. This tour gives you passes to Woollinn, an exclusive workshop with Carol Feller and knit with Edel MacBride in her studio in Donegal with lots of time to explore Dublin city and lots of activities for non-knitters.
In the 2019 Woollinn Marketplace, there will be a range of vendors displaying unique artisan yarns, tools and accessories that are not to be missed. The main focus is on working with natural fibers and top quality products. This is a very social event and it will provide plenty of time to hang out and meet new people and experience the festival vibe.
