Glamis Castle has been the ancestral seat to the Earls of Strathmore and Kinghorne since 1372, inspiration for Shakespeare’s Macbeth, the childhood home of HM Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, and birthplace of HRH The Princess Margaret.

Glamis Castle is open daily to the public from March 30th – October 31st. Exploring Glamis Castle can be thirsty work, so the Victorian Kitchen Restaurant is open for morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea. Your food is prepared by the award winning caterers, Wilde Thyme.
