Pauline Gallagher is the founder of The Knitting Class, through which she teaches knitting classes, courses, workshops, lectures and demonstrations. Pauline has been knitting since she was a child in Derry, Northern Ireland, where her mum taught her the basics and she continued to learn with the nuns at school.
The focus of The Knitting Class experience is on technique, skill, style and enjoyment for all. She is passionate about sharing her extensive knowledge of knitting history, techniques and global styles. She enjoys seeing her clients experience the joy of learning new skills and creating hand knits for themselves and to give as gifts.
Pauline also designs and writes patterns for hand knitting some of which are self -published in Ravelry. Her first pattern ‘OisinOwl’ became a best seller on the day that it was published. She has also been featured in Knit magazine in the UK.
In 2012 Pauline completed the Fashion Design FETAC level 5 course and now creates hand sewn Donegal tweed accessories which sell through her Etsy shop WinnieRoseHandmade.
