Join Crafts of Ireland for full afternoon experience of spinning, knitting and more! Arrive at your country Manor House retreat and meet your host, renowned knitwear designer and Aran knit expert, Edel MacBride. The next four days will have you immersed in knitting and the tranquility of the Manor and time for the spa of course! We will also have some music and storytelling as you knit in the evening! Enjoy spinning with Mary of Markree Wool, a boat trip out across the lake to a local gin distillery and yarn store shopping.
Enjoy an amazing day at Glenshane Country Farm! A full sheep to knitting experience as you discover the skills and tricks of shepherding, fleece to fashion as yarn is created before your eyes, knit with Edel in the turf fire warmed Country Barn and enjoy homemade scones and a farm lunch – all with incredible views! Brownlow House welcomes you for a morning of knitting with the locals and exploring the grand estate, home to American Troops and where President Eisenhower helped to plan the D landings.
Take Afternoon Tea Downton Abbey style before a visit to the Swallow Studios of noted luxury weaver and designer Liz Christy and a personal pop up yarn store at Killeavy Castle with Irish Artisan Yarns. Explore the ancient wonder of the Hill of Tara before a stop at the welcoming and stylish Celtic Tweed. Arrive back in Dublin for your farewell dinner!
