Tour Overview Visit to Kilkenny, Galway and scenic Killarney

Your 9 night knitting and craft tour features visits to Kilkenny, Galway, the Aran Islands and scenic Killarney in County Kerry. After a hearty Welcome Breakfast, travel to the County of Kildare where legends were made and visit the Museum of Style Icons at Newbridge as well as the Irish National Stud and Japanese Gardens.
Continue to Kilkenny and visit Zwartbles Ireland Sheep Farm along with Cushendale Woollen Mill. Cushendale Textile Mill has a proud history, which began back as far as 1778. The current mill building was established in 1925 however it was part of monastic mills which dated from 1204! Enjoy strolling around historic Kilkenny Castle and the National Design and Craft Gallery as well as a fun afternoon Workshop!
Journey into the West for a stay in Galway and explore the rustic beauty of Connemara, visiting the filming location of ‘The Quiet Man’ as well as famous Kylemore Abbey and Joyce Country Wools. Sail away to the traditional rural tranquillity of the Aran Islands and Inis Mór, the largest of the islands. Here you will enjoy a cultural and traditional knitting and crafts experience with well-known knitting instructor – Úna McDonagh.
Return to the mainland and en route to Dublin, enjoy a tour of the oldest licenced distillery in Ireland before meeting with knitwear designer Lisa Sisk for a workshop on the Moebius Knitting technique.
Finish with a visit to the Guinness Storehouse and explore Trinity Library and the ancient Book of Kells before a final farewell dinner.
