Carol Feller: Knitting Class with Carol Feller of Stolen Stitches & Contemporary Irish Knits Carol has travelled the world teaching in yarn shops and fibre festivals, including Knit Nation in London, Edinburgh Yarn Festival and Unwind.

The classes she teaches cover a wide range of subjects from cables and chart reading, through garment shaping and customisation right through to short rows and colourwork

Parknasilla Hotel is the primary hotel for our Southwest Ireland Knitting Retreat, a stunning hotel in a scenic, peaceful area. Parknasilla is a stunning resort hotel hidden away amongst islands, inlets and secret beaches near Sneem on the Ring of Kerry.

Surrounding the hotel is 500 acres of peaceful woodland mapped out into walks & trails for tour members to explore. It also has a wonderful spa!

Cahir Castle was once the stronghold of the Butler family Cahir Castle is one of Ireland's biggest and best preserved castles.

It is located on an island amid the River Suir. Once the property of the powerful Butler family, the castle still has its impressive keep, tower and a lot of the original defensive structures.

The Constant Knitter Named one of the “Best Shops in Ireland” by The Irish Times and its readers, this shop is a mecca for knitting, crochet and craft aficionados. The shop stocks Irish brands such as Studio Donegal and Cushendale, Indie Dyers, Ellie and Ada, The Fibre Kitchen and Green Elephant Yarns.

They also stock some wonderful brands such as Schoppel-Wolle, West Yorkshire Spinners, Adriafil, Rial Filati, Katia and Rico. We often bring knitting groups there for classes, demonstrations or trunk shows.

Ring of Kerry: One of Ireland’s most popular and most scenic driving routes. The Ring of Kerry is a charming circular drive around the stunning Iveragh Peninsula in County Kerry in the Southwest of Ireland.

It is more than 170km long, and takes in serene lakes, rugged seascapes and picturesque rural villages.

Sheep’s Head Peninsula: A peaceful, unspoilt headland with some of the most striking scenery in all of Ireland. The Sheep’s Head peninsula brings returning visitors year after year because they adore its idyllic quietness and the friendliness of the local community.

The Sheep’s head has scenery to rival some of its busier counterparts like the Dingle Peninsula or the Ring of Kerry.

The Healy Pass: A stunning pass that crosses through the Caha Mountains on the Beara Peninsula The Healy Pass is a wonderfully scenic route that intersects the Caha Mountains on the Beara Peninsula, just a small distance from Kenmare in County Kerry.

It is a tapered, steep mountainous road – which passes at an attitude of 300m – giving truly spectacular views towards Bantry Bay to the southeast and Kenmare Bay to the northwest.

Cushendale Woollen Mills Ltd. is a family run textile manufacturing business in County Kilkenny. The mill has a history spanning five generations producing high quality textile products from a range of natural fibres.

The facility has the ability to design and fully manufacture a range of textile products from 100% Irish Wool from blankets to luxury mohair throws, hats and scarves and home craft supplies. Visitors can see parts of the production process by guided tour.

Zwartable Ireland is a sheep farm in County Kilkenny run by Suzanna Crampton Zwartbles are elegant tall black sheep with unique white blazes and white-tipped tails.

They produce beautiful yarn which is milled nearby. By appointment only; you can come and visit the farm by the banks of the river Nore, meeting the Zwartbles sheep and Alpaca that guard the flock.
